Installation of year-round lights on Burlingame Ave. and side streets, and captivating holiday decoration in 2023. Her creative vision and attention to detail have left a lasting impact on the cityscape, enriching the lives of residents and visitors alike.
Collaboration with Recology to increase pickup frequency and tackle rodent control behind restaurants for over a year taking a proactive approach to implementing measures to more effectively manage waste disposal, she helped mitigate rodent infestations and improve overall cleanliness in the area. It is commendable work that contributes to creating a safer and more pleasant environment for residents and visitors alike.
In addition to her role on the Beautification Commission, Hadia is a member of the Women's Club and the Lions Club.
Leadership and Advocacy
Hadia has demonstrated innovative leadership as the liaison for the Downtown Burlingame Improvement District (DBID) with the Economic Development and Beautification Commission. She was the first person to propose adopting the practice of having all city committees represented at the city's Economic Development Subcommittee meetings. Her proposal expedited decision making processes and results.
Hadia works with the DBID and other community members to gather input, create fundraising ideas, address concerns, and recommend necessary adjustments to promote downtown Burlingame as a desirable destination for residents, visitors, and businesses.
Additionally, Hadia has played a vital role in fostering connections between Burlingame businesses and the Chamber of Commerce for the growth and success of local businesses.
